The uncovering of the Jewish life in Hebron that had been cut off in the 1929 pogroms was done by Professor Ben Zion Tavger of blessed memory, a senior scientist who used all his scientific skills for the sake of Hebron. Thanks to him, the ancient Hebron cemetery, the Avraham Avinu synangogue and the Menucha Rachel tomb were uncovered and restored. It is a must to hear his life story and understand how one person, filled with perseverance and faith, can change history.
His widow, Nava, will tell us his story (in Hebrew).
Shdema is a military base located between Har Homa and Tekoa.
Shdema is accessible by private vehicles. Organized rides will be provided based on preregistration.
